Friendly, comfortable and affordable homestay. Friends three bedroom, two bath apartment is located at the upper end of Market Street, between San Francisco’s Castro and Twin Peaks neighborhoods. Guesthouse-style accommodations consist of two bedrooms (one single and one double). Both rooms have large windows with panoramic views of the city and San Francisco Bay. Morning sunrises over the Berkeley hills, golden sunsets reflected in the glass skyscrapers, and the twinkling lights of the city and Bay Bridge at night are all especially breathtaking from here.

On-street car parking is available near the apartment on Market and surrounding streets. The popular Castro gay neighborhood is a short walk downhill. We are served by two bus lines of the San Francisco Municipal Railway (MUNI). In the Castro, the MUNI Metro (subway) takes one "downtown" to the Financial District, Union Square shopping areas, Chinatown, and connects with buses and cable cars to other areas of interest, as well as with Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) to Oakland, Berkeley and other East Bay cities.

The Double Room accommodates two people and has a sofa-bed for a third person. The room can also be booked for one person at any time. The extremely comfortable SleepNumber™ bed allows each guest to control the exact amount of firmness on their own side of the bed. This room has an attached bathroom en suite.

The Single Room is ideal for one person. A booking for two people in this room will be accepted only when the double room is not available. There is a separate bathroom outside which may need to be shared with your host on very rare occasions.

Guests have complete use of the living room with fireplace and balcony, the kitchen for food storage and cooking meals, and the laundry room. Wireless Internet connection is available for guests using their own computer. One of your hosts, Tim, is a Certified Massage Therapist. And His massage services are available to guests. English, Spanish and German spoken.

Rates from $ $ 50 to $ 95 per night depending on room type, number of persons, and length of stay. Higher rates apply during some holiday periods. Rates include morning coffee, tea and home-baked muffins. We do not charge room tax.
